This is a very good question. I have seen a few people asking about video players and which one they should use. As my goal is to help people learn how to build a business without hitting the stumbling blocks that it seems all internet marketers fall into such as “shiny object syndrome,” yes, it is real, I had it for years. I still tend to buy something here and there that I will probably never use.

The purpose of this blog is to educate and help people to build an online business without spending money on things they don’t need. Don’t get me wrong here, if you are building a business, it will require financial investment. The key, is to only purchase what you need and will use. Back to the headline of this post.

Do I Need A Video Player To Have Videos In My Blog Posts? The short answer is no. There are many video players out there, some better than others. Every one of them have a fan base that will swear that theirs is the best. I couldn’t tell you because I don’t use one. I am using Optimize Press 3 with the smart theme. OP3 makes it rather simple to add media to your blog post.

Here is how to embed a YouTube video in OP3 without a video player. When you are writing your blog post, decide where you want the video to be. Usually between paragraphs or at the beginning or end of the post would be best. You would then want to type like 5 x’s or something to indicate the location. This is to make it easier to find when it is time to put in the code. Find the video on YouTube you want in your post and click share. That will open a small window with social media icons in it. It also has an icon that says embed. Click on that icon, on the right side of the window you will see a code. You want to highlight and copy that code then go back to the post you are writing. This is where the 5 x’s comes in, switch from visual to text in the editor. Find the 5 x’s and highlight them replace them by pasting the code from YouTube there. Other than adjusting the size, that is all there is to it. Watch the video in this post to see exactly how simple it is.
